Project Overview

Mello is an AI-powered productivity platform designed as the next interface for humans to interact with technology. Built for writers, developers, professionals, and anyone who writes or takes meetings, Mello’s purpose is to reduce mental effort while helping users stay in their creative and problem-solving flow.

The objective of this project was to define a clear brand identity and UI/UX direction that communicates intelligence without intimidation, and capability without complexity.

Brand Direction & Positioning

Mello was positioned as a calm, human-centric AI copilot, distinct from tools that feel overly technical or mechanical. The brand needed to feel modern, seamless, and emotionally reassuring — never demeaning or overwhelming.

The identity was shaped around clarity, confidence, and ease, ensuring users feel supported by the product rather than challenged by it.

Visual Identity & Experience Design

The visual system balances futuristic cues with warmth and restraint. A minimalist aesthetic, clean typography, and calm color moods were used to create a sense of trust and mental clarity.

The UI/UX approach focused on reducing friction and maintaining flow. Mello’s interaction model was designed to be lightweight and non-intrusive, allowing users to activate the product instantly through a simple hotkey, without switching applications or breaking concentration.

Structured, soothing outputs — such as meeting notes and written content — reinforce the product’s promise of effortlessness and control.

Outcome

The completed brand identity and UI/UX foundation positioned Mello as a confident, modern, and intuitive AI product within a crowded productivity landscape.
